Paperback Six-volume genealogical study of Spanish surnames of the Rio de la Plata Viceroy traced through the early 20th century (1930s). Includes lllustrations of coats of arms for each surname, with full-page sepia line drawings to Vols 1 & 2 and quarter page b/w illus to Vols 3-6. Ownership signature in blue ink and handsome contemporary hand to half-title of volumes 1-3. Numbered exemplar printed on title page versos as follows: Volume 1 (no. 464), V. 2 (487), V.3 (485), V. 4 (483), V. 5 (158), and V. 6 (443), with small hand-signature, presumably of 'authentication', across each. Complete in six volumes. Considered the most important geneaological study of its kind. Quite Scarce.Condition of each volume varies, but generally Very Good, with chips and edge-tears to printed jackets, ranging from, for example, Vol 1: Good (amply chipped & torn to lower fornt) to Very Good+ (Vol. 2); most volumes VG.
