The author describes the cities and makes observations on various parts of the economy and cultural life. The book also contains a few illustrations to accompany the text. Brown leather binding exhibiting moderate wear to spine though still tight. Slight chipping to top and bottoms of spines. Volumes one and three have two labels, the top with the title in red and the bottom label with the title in green. Volume two is missing the labels. Very clean internally. Seven engraved plates.
