First printing 53 vols., illus., photo-illustrated wraps., covers detached on several, toned pages, edge wear Good Staplebound 53 issues of Trova Mexicana, a magazine which provided tablature for popular Mexican songs. Each issue contained about a dozen songs with illustrations showing how to reproduce the chords on a guitar and align them with the proper lyrics. Each issue had a different performer or group grace the cover, such as Pedro Infante, Jose Alfredo Jimenez, Flor Silvestre, Celia Cruz and several others. A scarce publication, seldom found in large collections such as this. OCLC reports only one issue held at the Benson. (Item ID: 166856)
