Oaxaca: Gabinete Grafico, 2014. 1st ed. Sixteen 11x15 in. prints, some color New Collection of sixteen prints produced using a variety of techniques and materials. Includes pieces employing dry-point, wood block relief and spray paint. Content reflects the vibrant graphic arts scene in southern Mexico, most of which is thematically tied to the cultural and political concerns of Oaxacan youth which includes housing rights, food security, autonomy and direct action. Artists included: Alejandro Perez Cruz, Humberto Valdez, Andres Vazquez Glorio, Ruben Maya, Enrique Perez, Luis Ricaurte, Francisco Quintanar, Carlos Flores Rom, Pedro Lopez Recendez, Maria Eugenia Quintanilla, Renata Gerlero, Teresa Olmedo, Pavel Acevedo, Alberto Cruz, Daniel Salazar and Venancio Velasco. Some of these artists were members of art collectives such as ASARO and Arte Jaguar, who printed work as a collective never signing individual names or noting editions. Prints are all signed, dated and numbered (most in an edition of 24, one is an artist's proof).
