A catalog consisting mostly of interior clothing for women and children from the upscale department store El Palacio de Hierro, which begain in 1850. The store was bought by two Mexicans who attemped to emulate retailers such as Saks Fifth Avenue, Harrods and Le Bon Marche. They erected an impressive structure designed by Ignacio de la Hidalga in Mexico City. The store still exists and has various locations throughout the country.
