Jose Emilio Espoz was born in Chuquicamata, Chile. He studied literature in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I start working in the Electrical Department of the Sulfide Plant, in the Concentrates Division, in the Copper Mineral of Chuquimata. He worked until September 11, 1973. He was detained by the Investigations Service and turned over to the Army.
