This is an album of 40 bookplates by award-winning printmaker, muralist and illustrator Sergio Sánchez Santamaría. Born in Tlayacan, Morelos in 1976, Sánchez Santamaría studied at La Esmeralda National School of Painting, Sculpture, and Engraving. Though he typically employs traditional art techniques, he has a modern style and explores contemporary perspectives on Mexican politics, culture, and people. As evidenced by this work, Sánchez Santamaría also has a passion for Ex Libris. Each book plate in this unique collection has been printed on individual sheets that are signed and stamped.
