"Imágenes en colectivo. Grupo Suma (1976-1982)" contains previously unpublished articles on Grupo Suma, an artistic collective made up of 22 students that formed in 1976 at La Escuela Nacional de Artes Plástica in Mexico as a response to the pervasive political repression and police violence at the time. This work proposes a discussion on the historical intersections between and among people, politics, and aesthetics in Mexico to better understand Grupo Suma's actions and artistic creations, which became visual guerrilla warfare. Author Ana Torres won the Antonio García Cubas Edition XXII Prize for this work.
