These texts are employed as both a form of resistance against the logic of cisheteronormative and white domination and as a way to explore and document identity and the politics of identity, sexual exile, the loss of love, the importance of sexual dissidence and antiracist activism, and much more. Mijail is a non-binary Dominican poet, journalist, and performance artist.
