Germinal conceives art “as a means of communication and a form of knowledge, propagation and generation of values, ideas, perceptions and feelings” to place it within political praxis and not only as an occasional companion. In my view, this is the starting point of the experience narrated in the book that we present today: The Germinal Group. Testimony of art in Mexico , published by the Government of the State of Aguascalientes and the University of the Arts.
The prologue by Alberto Híjar results in an excellent summary of Germinal, from those very young students of La Esmeralda to those who gathered the desire to do and be another artistic form, alternative to the one their school promoted, hence they undertook their own process of self-education.
